“Guy is always well prepared and knows how to get to the heart of the matter. He is one of the finest young lawyers I know.”

Victor M. Carrera
Edinburg, Texas

Guy L. Watts II, born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Behavior and Management from Brown University in 1994. After graduation, he joined Teach for America and taught 7th graders at Markham Middle School in Watts, a township in South Central Los Angeles. After completing his two-year teaching commitment in 1996, Mr. Watts moved back to Texas and enrolled in the University of Texas School of Law, where he graduated less than three years later in December of 1998. He began practicing state and federal criminal defense with the Law Office of William A. White in Austin. In 2000, Guy moved to San Antonio and opened his own law office, practicing exclusively in criminal defense. During this time, he tried his first case, obtaining an acquittal for his client accused of aggravated robbery. In 2001, Mr. Watts joined the predecessor of Watts Guerra Craft LLP’s San Antonio office where he initially represented injured clients in the areas of premises liability and chemical exposure. He now also specializes in automobile product liability, including defective tires, stability systems, fuel integrity systems resulting in post-collision, fuel-fed fires, occupant restraints, and occupant protection systems. From the time Guy began practicing civil law, he has obtained significant verdicts and settlements for his clients.

Mr. Watts is licensed to practice in the state courts of Texas and in the United States District Courts for the Northern, Western, and Eastern Districts of Texas. He is a member of the Attorneys Information Exchange Group (AIEG), American Association for Justice (AAJ), and Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA), San Antonio Bar Association (SABA). He is also an active member of the Brown University Alumni Association. Outside the office, Mr. Watts enjoys writing — his first book, Keepin’ On, was published in 2002. He is married to Dr. Kery Feferman, and they have two children, Ryan and Jonah.
