Will Maiberger was born September 16, 1967 in Bronx, New York. He moved to Texas with his family in 1978. He received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from The University of Texas at Austin in 1989. Mr. Maiberger worked in accounting/financial analysis for ARCO Oil & Gas Company in Dallas for approximately one year before enrolling in law school in 1990. He received his law degree in 1993 from St. Mary’s University School of Law in San Antonio. During law school, he participated in various moot court and mock trial competitions, and worked as a law clerk for the law firms of Thornton, Summers, Biechlin, Dunham & Brown, Inc. and Plunkett, Gibson & Allen, Inc., in San Antonio. After graduating from law school in the top 20% of his class, Mr. Maiberger joined the firm of Plunkett, Gibson & Allen, Inc. in San Antonio, and later practiced with Allen, Stein & Durbin, P.C. in San Antonio, where he primarily focused on defending wrongful death and personal injury cases, and also defended insurance “bad faith” cases. During his time as a civil defense trial lawyer, he was involved in more than 25 trials, defending individuals, insurance companies, and various corporations.

Mr. Maiberger joined the predecessor of Watts Guerra Craft LLP in 2001. Since that time, he has practiced in the San Antonio office, focusing on product liability, transportation and general negligence litigation. He was co-counsel with Mikal Watts and Frank Guerra and in Castro v. Ford Motor Co., and Garcia v. Ford Motor Co. and with Mikal Watts in Guerrero v. Pilgrim’s Pride Corp.

Mr. Maiberger is an “AV” rated lawyer in the Martindale-Hubbell legal directory. He is admitted to practice law in the state courts of Texas and Arizona, the United States District Courts for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, and the United States District Court for the Western District of Kentucky. He also practices in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. Mr. Maiberger was named a “Texas Rising Star” by Texas Monthly magazine in 2007. He is a member of the State Bars of Texas and Arizona, American Association for Justice (AJA), Texas Trial Lawyers Association, San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association (Vice President of Finance, 2008; Director, 2003, 2005 - 2007; Treasurer, 2004), San Antonio Bar Association and San Antonio Bar Foundation.
