A. Cliff Gordon was raised in Corpus Christi. Cliff earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Yale College in 1989. He received his
Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston Law Center in 1994. Cliff joined the firm of White, Huseman, Pletcher & Powers, where he practiced both plaintiff and defense work in the areas of appellate law, toxic torts, insurance, personal injury, and commercial litigation. Cliff joined the predecessor firm of Watts Guerra Craft LLP in 2007, where he continues to focus on civil appellate law.
Cliff is Board Certified in Civil Appellate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. He is licensed to practice law in the state courts in Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Texas Trial Lawyer’s Association (TTLA) and the Corpus Christi Bar Association. He has argued appeals before the two highest courts in Texas--the Texas Supreme Court and Court of Criminal Appeals--as well as the Fifth Circuit and the Texas courts of appeals. |
