Hunter Craft has served as the managing partner of the firm’s Houston office since 2005. Mr. Craft was born and raised in Texas, and graduated as the Casey Presidential Scholar from Baylor University in 1996 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. He earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1999 from Baylor University School of Law, where he was selected into membership of the Abner V. McCall Inn of Court, Order of the Barristers, Harvey M. Richey Moot Court Society, and Phi Delta Phi Honors Society. Upon graduation, Mr. Craft accepted a litigation position with the international firm of Fulbright & Jaworski, L.L.P.’s Houston, Texas office. He quickly distinguished himself as an aggressive advocate for numerous large clients in commercial, product liability, and occupational exposure litigation.

In April 2001 Mr. Craft joined the predecessor to Watts Guerra Craft LLP as a partner. Focusing primarily on product liability, trucking, construction accident, and other catastrophic injury litigation, Mr. Craft has represented victims from more than 20 different states in cases against large corporate defendants including Alcoa, BF Goodrich, BMW, Bridgestone/Firestone, Chrysler, Coastal Corporation, Continental Tire, Cummins, Daewoo, Discount Tire, Dorel Juvenile Products, Ford, General Motors, Gilbane, Goodyear, Honda, International Truck & Engine, Isuzu, Land Rover, Mattel, Mazda, Michelin, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Titan Tire, Union Pacific, and Witco, among others. For those efforts, the Texas Super Lawyers recognized Mr. Craft as a “Rising Star” in the state’s legal community in 2004. Later that year, at age 29, Mr. Craft was himself elected a “Texas Super Lawyer” by members of the Texas bar, making him the youngest such recipient in the history of the award, and was selected for membership into the American College of Barristers. Identified among the "Who's Who" of professionals in America, “H” Houston magazine has called him a “lawyer on the fast track,” and he was voted one of the top litigators in the nation’s fourth-largest city. Mr. Craft has obtained a number of successful trial results in commercial, negligence, product liability, and trucking cases, including two outcomes that landed in “VerdictSearch’s Top 100” verdicts in America.

A speaker on topics including discovery, product liability, and accident reconstruction, Mr. Craft has appeared on television and in several major newspapers across the country discussing discovery abuse by defendants, vehicle rollovers, roof crush, seatbelts, child restraint systems, airbags, back-over deaths, and power window strangulations. Mr. Craft is licensed to practice law in the state courts of Texas, and before United States District Courts in the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. He is a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the State Bar of Texas, and Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA).
