Brian Berryman received his Bachelors of Science degree in Wildlife Management from Texas Tech University in 1985. He is a 1989 graduate of St. Mary's University School of Law where he was successful in mock trial and moot court competitions. After graduating from law school he joined the San Antonio firm of Plunkett, Gibson & Allen where he practiced defense litigation for approximately 7 years. He then joined the firm of Allen, Stein, Durbin & Hunnicutt where he was made a partner in 1997. His litigation practice has covered a wide variety of areas, including general negligence, construction, environmental, insurance, business torts, commercial litigation, agriculture, real estate, and products liability.
Mr. Berryman joined the predecessor firm of Watts Guerra Craft LLP, with others, in 2001 to open its San Antonio office. Although most of their cases have been involving defective products, business litigation has been a point of special interest. Mr. Berryman has directed the marketing, promotion and development of the San Antonio office and the surrounding areas.
Mr. Berryman served two three-year terms as a member of the State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee for the San Antonio District. He was the chair of his grievance panel in his second term. He has been a certified mediator since 1997. He is licensed to practice in the state courts of Texas and before the United States District Courts in the Western, Northern and Southern Districts of Texas. Mr. Berryman is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the San Antonio Bar Association, and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA). His practice currently focuses on, business and product liability litigation. Mr. Berryman was named one of San Antonio’s Best Lawyers in “Scene in S.A.”.
Mr. Berryman is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas. He has resided in San Antonio for over 20 years. He is also involved in his family’s ranch and commercial real estate interests. He is married to Lynn Bell Berryman. They have two boys, Sam and Lance. |
